Terms and Conditions
Last reviewed October 28, 2026
These terms describe the basic conditions for using the Online Display Ruler website and its screen-based measurement tools.
Acceptance and permitted use
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You may use the ruler for lawful personal or organizational reference, subject to these terms and applicable law.
Tool functionality and measurement limits
The site provides centimeter, millimeter, inch, and CSS-pixel scales, screen calibration, guides, and two-point measurements. Physical measurements depend on your display dimensions and pixel density, browser behavior, zoom, operating-system scaling, calibration choices, object alignment, and viewing angle. The browser cannot independently verify the physical size of your screen.
Uncalibrated physical readings are estimates. Calibration can improve the scale for a particular display and setup but does not make the tool certified measuring equipment or guarantee a particular tolerance. Recalibrate after changing displays or display settings. Confirm important measurements with an appropriate physical instrument.
Use the screen carefully
If you place an object beside or against a display, do so gently and only if it is safe for that device. Avoid sharp, abrasive, wet, or heavy objects, and do not press on the screen panel. You are responsible for deciding whether an object and measuring method are suitable.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to violate law, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, or place unreasonable automated load on the service. Do not misrepresent measurements from this tool as certified results.
Intellectual property
The site’s text, interface, and software may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership or grant a general right to copy, republish, or redistribute the site. Third-party names and materials remain with their respective owners.
Third-party websites and services
The site may link to third-party websites or services for convenience. The site does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, or policies. Review their terms and privacy notices before using them.
Availability and changes
The website is provided on an as-available basis. It may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued, and some features may not work in every browser or device. The site may revise these terms as the service changes. The “Last reviewed” date indicates the version currently published.
Warranty disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and ruler are provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or measurement accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the site. This does not limit liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited, including any mandatory consumer rights. Do not rely on this ruler for safety-critical, medical, engineering-tolerance, or other decisions requiring certified measurement.
Governing law
Owner action required before publication: The governing jurisdiction has not been supplied. Insert the confirmed governing law and venue here: [GOVERNING JURISDICTION TO BE CONFIRMED]. This placeholder must be resolved by the site owner and reviewed for the jurisdictions where the site is offered.
Changes and contact
Continued use after updated terms are published means you use the site under the updated terms, subject to applicable law. See the Contact Us page for the current contact status. The EmailJS contact form is configured for this build.
These terms are general website information and are not legal advice or a guarantee of legal compliance. The site owner should have them reviewed for the intended operating jurisdictions.
